WHY NOT CONSIDER AN INVESTMENT IN ESTEPONA?

If you are looking for a property in the Costa del Sol you could do a lot worse than Estepona. You get a lot of values for your buck with properties here.

Estepona is in between Marbella (20 minutes away) and Sotogrande (15 minutes) and Gibraltar airport is only 40 minutes away. The town is on the coast and has the Sierra Bermeja mountains behind it. Climb these, which incidentally have excellent hiking trails, and you can see Gibraltar and the North African coast in the distance.

Estepona has a quaint old town with narrow streets and houses bedecked with flowers. It also has a port and palm trees along the front together with sandy beaches. However, the town is less developed than Marbella, and as a result the beaches are less crowded, and the bars and restaurants are cheaper.

La Manga Del Mar Menor

La Manga del Mar Menor means “The Sandbar of the Minor Sea” and is a narrow strip of land 14 miles long by about 350 yards wide dividing the Mar Menor from the Mediterranean in the Murcia region of Spain. Until the 1960’s it was virtually untouched and then it was “discovered” as a tourist resort and became urbanised and had tourist infrastructure included. La Manga is cut off by some natural channels which keep the Mar Menor and the Mediterranean connected to each other.

Until about 1960, La Manga was virtually uninhabited: all that was there were a couple of windmills and some archaeological remains both on the land and offshore, which showed that there had been human activity there for several thousand years. Then in the 1960’s the first hotels and high-rise blocks were built, and people started to visit from all over Spain.

The Delights Of Santa Ponsa, Mallorca

Santa Ponsa is a lovely small town in the South-West of Mallorca boasting a splendid beach which is very wide and over ¾ mile long. Santa Ponsa has been popular with the British for over 40 years and today has a large number of expats living there. As a result, you will find that some of the restaurants and bars stay open all year round, unlike other towns on the island.

If you are thinking of retiring here, you might choose to look for a town house for sale in Santa Ponsa. There are plenty of things to do, especially if you have your own boat because the town has its’ very own private marina which can hold boats up to 20 metres long and is called Club Nautico Santa Ponsa. It sits in a cove called Sa Caleta which is where King Jaume 1 landed in 1229 to commence his conquest of the island. Just up the road, only a couple of miles away, is Port Adriano Marina which is home to the superyachts of the ultra-wealthy.

You can easily spend the whole day lazing on the beach as there are toilets, showers, sunbeds and parasols to rent, and the promenade along the back of the beach has plenty of bars, cafes, and souvenir shops. There are a handful of yacht charter companies and you can charter one for half a day or for months if you wish. There are also pedalos, kayaks, and paddle boards to hire, along with jet skis. In addition, there are a number of boat trips and you can go dolphin watching, go on a glass bottomed boat, or take a snorkelling trip.

If you are a golfer, this is a good place to be because there are several golf courses. There is also a tennis club in the town with both hard and grass courts to rent. In addition, there is a theme park, and there are lots of convenience stores, and there is a small market held every Saturday morning on the Avenida Riu Sill. Just down the road in Andratx there is a big market every Wednesday.
